Two of three levies pass
Voters in two counties passed children services levies in yesterday’s primary, enacting a new levy in Portage County and renewing an existing levy in Allen County.
Knox County voters opposed a new levy there.
Leaders in all three counties pointed to placement costs driving the need for funding. New state investments in the current budget were critical, they said, but only delayed the need for local dollars.
PCSAO is grateful to voters for their support of protective services for children and families, and congratulates agency staff, community leaders, and others who made county levy efforts successful.
