As the Director of Strategic Initiatives since 2021, Mike helps to facilitate the implementation of Safety Culture and Ohio’s shared practice model (PACT), as well as assisting PCSAs with the implementation of OhioRISE and Family First Prevention Services.

Mike is driven by his relentless belief in the healing power of family, connection, and belonging, and his approach to solving the challenges we face is built on the behaviors of listening and partnering. He attributes any and all of his professional successes to the practice of surrounding himself with smart people and learning from their experiences and expertise.

A 2000 graduate of Bowling Green State University, Mike has spent his entire career working in child welfare. He was the co-founder and executive director of Kinnect, a Cleveland-based nonprofit that continues to lead statewide kinship initiatives. Mike is an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, the proud husband of Elizabeth, and proud father of Siomha.
