Panel presents Senate testimony, urges support for House budget
With the budget bill now in the Senate, PCSAO assembled a panel for testimony before the Senate Finance subcommittee on human services today.
PCSAO Executive Director Angela Sausser, Licking County JFS Director John Fisher, and former Adams County foster youth Jerica Estle-Grooms focused their testimony on the severe crisis facing Ohio’s children services system and the need to maintain the investments as proposed by Governor DeWine and added to by the House.
Estle-Grooms was accompanied by her parents, her brother and his mother, and two Adams County Children Services caseworkers. While in Columbus, they had the opportunity to visit the Governor’s Office and meet with Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted, as well as meet Speaker Larry Householder in the House chamber.
