What You Will Do – Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Employee is under administrative supervision of Social Program Administrator 1; lead in the area of Managed Care within the Performance Support Department; provides guidance, support, and leadership to the Managed Care TA’s, process including Deceased Child Review, CFSR, CPOE and Accelerated Safety Analysis Protocol (ASAP); works collaboratively with other areas of the agency, Managed Care partners and with community partners to monitor and improve provision of services and quality of outcomes for children and families; all with the continual attention to timely and quality service treatment delivery to the children and their families who are served by the agency.

  • Provides direction and oversight related to Managed Care; maintains the responsibility for the quality improvement, monitoring, and client/community satisfaction of the program; supervises staff, includes advising staff on policies and procedures and changes deemed necessary; monitors and evaluates program compliance with agency and ODJFS policies and procedures; documents work professionally; maintains regular contact with PS AD and Division Director; collaborates with all Program service areas and Managed Care, as well as other support staff, including Evaluation, Information Technology, Professional Development, Data Management and Revenue Enhancement.
  • Directly supervises managed care social program coordinators in order to meet department and agency goals; ensures staff development and compliance with state regulations for their area; maintains conference notes on meetings and issues discussed; addresses service delivery issues, workload and disciplinary concerns as they may relate to their assigned staff; conducts meetings to build cohesive staff; reviews instructional material and shares information on new policies/procedures; responsible for the instruction and training of new staff, evaluates staff performance and performs personnel duties of the department.
  • Reviews and evaluates data for the ASAP Program at FCCS including but not limited to reviewing identified high risk cases, completing ASAP guides, scheduling, and conducting case staffings with program services, managed care providers and other support staff and monitoring outcomes; documents work professionally.

What will make you successful:

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work or related area and three (3) years social service experience, including relevant supervisory or administrative skills or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related area and four (4) years post degree child welfare/social work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work with LISW or LSW; four (4) years social service experience, including several years of supervisory/administrative experience; knowledge of child welfare systems management and program evaluation plus basic understanding of statistics; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with automobile insurance that complies with Franklin County Children Services agency policy. Travel can occasionally include out-state-travel which may require airline travel.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the supervision of three (3) Social Program Coordinators
