Minimum Starting Salary: $22.33/hour

What You Will Do – Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts and/or updates home studies (anywhere in Ohio) for youth in need of placement in a kinship care setting.  Conducts other related duties, such as completion of FESICS, referral for financial and material assistance, etc.  Responsible for data entry of all home study assessments in SACWIS.
  • Refers youth in need of placement of a paid substitute care setting (i.e. foster home, shelter care, group home, residential facility, etc.) based upon youth’s clinical needs.  Responsible for data entry of all placements in SACWIS.
  • Completes Screening responsibilities, to include answering hotline calls, creating intake referrals, initiating assessment and/or investigative activities on screened-in intake reports, provide support and/or crisis management on open cases; documenting interventions and assessments in SACWIS.
  • Attends and participates in case conferences or meetings to discuss youth in need of placement or possible placement (i.e. TDM, critical event family team meeting, etc.).
  • Attends and participates in regular supervisory conferences and team meetings to discuss individual performance and departmental opportunities for improvement. Attends and participates in staff development. Contributes to a positive work environment geared toward a positive attitude, teamwork, and productivity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related area. LSW will be considered equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in social work.
  • Must be computer proficient.

Certifications or Licensure:

  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License required with own vehicle and insurance coverage in the amount of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per incident.
