What You Will Do – Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Acting as HR Lead for in-progress HRIS system implementation, including continued testing and configuration, security administration, report writing, system optimization, post go-live, and coordination and management of cross-functional dependencies between HR, Benefits, IT, Budget and Payroll. Ensuring that application integrate into existing and planned infrastructure. Supporting all HRIS systems (needs analysis, research, design, testing, quality control, deployment, training, and administration) and human resources end users in the use of HRIS applications and desktop tools (recruitment, personnel performance evaluation and document management systems and software). Maintaining and administering ad hoc report writing tools for end users; training and assisting users of those ad hoc reporting writing tools.
Design user-friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation. Process employee data, generating HR-related reports, manage system upgrades and maintain data integrity. Ensure all HR-related systems are compliant with data protection laws. Manage requests for process improvements, system enhancements, and the development and/or purchase of new software applications. Develop, document, and maintain all current and new HRIS business process workflows for efficiency and compliance. Translate functional requirements into work breakdown structures and technical specifications via information gathering, workshops, sessions, and interviews.
Collaborate with IT department to perform regular assessments and improvements to the HRIS maintaining requirements set by the State of Ohio. Maintain data integrity in systems by regularly analyzing data. Synthesize and document requirements for process improvement, enhancements, new software, and strategic initiatives.
Actively identify and resolve issues or opportunities for enhanced user experience and other HRIS integrations. Perform diagnostic tests and audits as well as document processes. Collaborate and provide technical support and train staff. Process and ensure proper security access is granted to new hires. Mentor and coach, the team to develop expertise and drive process and configuration excellence.
Performs other related duties as assigned, which includes assisting the Human Capital Management Administrator 1 with special projects as needed.

What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, HR management or related field.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience as HRIS Administrator.
- Proficiency in HRM software, such as UKG (Kronos), Zoho People and Workday HCM.
What we hope you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in information systems or computer science
- Advanced proficiency in database management and security, as well as running SQL queries.
- Five (5) years’ experience working in HRIS systems
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to keep up with innovation and trends in HRIS Administration.
Certifications or Licensure: A valid Ohio Driver’s License and automobile insurance that follows Franklin County Children Services policy required is for travel. Travel can occasionally include out of state travel which may require airline travel.
Regular attendance, as governed by and in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, procedures, and laws, is regarded as an essential requirement of this classification.
