What You Will Do – Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Employee is under administrative direction from the Social Program Developer; plays a pivotal role in providing training, mentoring and support to Fellowship Students within the 21 counties in the Southwest Region of the Child Protective Services Fellowship Program. The Student Coordinator will build relationships with students and counties creating a supportive environment and work together to achieve program goals of providing job readiness skills to students for employment.
Program Oversight
- Schedule regular virtual check-ins with students/supervisors for an update of their activities in the program and to give guidance and support.
- Type reports of meetings and maintain Fellowship files.
- Review case reports sent by students and provide feedback based on rules, policies, and best practices.
- Send updates on check-ins to assist in any potential changes to the program.
- Agency site visits, when needed, to provide support to students in-person.
- Conduct at least 1 on site visit with students during their program.
- Hold 1 in person meeting with all students together.
- Update Fellowship Teams channel with new forms/information.
- Update monthly stats report with offboarding and current students.
- Update Fellowship Student Coordinator tracking excel form with trainings, check-ins, orientation, offboarding dates and reasons, hiring of FTE, other employment, etc.
Recruitment:
- Assist with screening phone calls for Fellowship referrals. (The Recruiter and SC monitor new applicants and screen applicants.)
- Track applicants’ status.
- May assist with attending career fairs in their district.SC may assist with speaking engagements at colleges and universities in own district.
- Provide recruitment and program information to colleges and universities.
- May assist counties with the interview process if requested.
- May assist with VR Goggle experience if requested.
- Participate in recruitment meetings.
- Onboarding Fellowship Students:
- Send Welcome email/packet to new students/counties. This includes all onboarding paperwork and information.
- Schedule initial onboarding meeting with students/counties within first week
- Schedule follow up check-in after 1 month.
- Ensure student is enrolled in LMS/CAPS and registered for the appropriate trainings.
- Coordinate, schedule and present Fellowship Orientation presentation with all new Fellows.
Offboarding Fellowship Students:
- Assist agencies with the offboarding process.
- Conduct final check-in meeting.
- Gather/review final forms and assessments, send Exit Interviews, and send FTE plaques as applicable.
- Send copies of Exit Interviews for management to review.
Meetings:
- Meetings with Program Manager and/or Director, as needed.
- Meetings with Administrators/Supervisors quarterly, as needed.
- Attend Directors Conference
- Attend PCSAO Conference
- Work the sponsor table at conferences.
LMS/CAPS:
- Receive required training for CAPS/LMS Producer, if needed to attend instructor-led CW Core sessions.
- Provide regular support to students and counties as needed, including assisting with CW Core questions and technical assistance for instructor-led trainings.
- Be available to attend instructor-led trainings if needed.
- Track students training.
- Schedule transfer of learning sessions after each instructor-led block is completed.

What you bring to the role:
- Completion of undergraduate major program core requirements in social or behavioral science plus 12 mos. exp. in delivery of social services, or completion of graduate major program core requirements in behavioral or social science, excluding taking of comprehensive examination or writing thesis, plus 6 mos. exp. delivering social services.
What we hope you bring to the role:
- Master’s degree in social work or related training field; several years of related work experience.
- Experience with full cycle recruitment and experience with training.
