Minimum Starting Salary: $19.87/per hour

What You Will Do – Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Employee is under close supervision from SPA2, as well as support assistance from other visitation supervisors and is responsible for scheduling visitation requests received from Intake and the Regions.

  • This staff member will coordinate daily visitations with families/clients/caregivers/foster parents. Confirmation of visits/arrivals, ongoing communication with the support services supervisors, support staff and service teams to resolve any issues and report cancellations. This position will report daily / weekly discrepancies with ongoing visitation and communicate the schedule availability of staff on a daily basis for the purpose of identifying openings for other requests. This staff member will assure smooth transition from lobby to visitation room by communicating arrivals, terminated visits and general cancellations.
  • Receives and processes visitation requests from Intake & Regions via hardcopy form, e-mail, phone, etc.; utilizes an online system to assign visits for SSA’s and CSW’s; schedules visits that may be one time only or multiple times per week for an extended period; maintains frequent contact with SSA’s, CSW’s, Foster Care agencies and service teams regarding the assignment, acceptance, decline, transportation and changes in visits; assures new and current visitation requests for accuracy and quality assurance. Assist visitation staff that need assistance during family visits.

What will make you successful:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to calculate fractions, decimals, and percentages and to read and write common vocabulary plus 3 courses in public relations (or 3 mos. exp.); or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school graduate; 4 years clerical exp., typing speed of 50 wpm.; business school/college may be substituted for part of required experience; good writing and communication skills. Proficiency in Outlook, Office 2007. Excellent organizational/computer skills, time management, multitasking.
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with automobile insurance that complies with Franklin County Children Services agency policy.  Travel can occasionally include out-state-travel which may require airline travel.
