PCSAO released its 2023 annual report today, documenting a successful year of advocacy for safe children, stable families, and supportive communities.
The report outlines accomplishments related to the $15 million workforce grant, the placement crisis and continuum of care, the biennial state budget, and the highly successful annual conference. Detailed outcomes are provided for Ohio START, PACT, safety culture, and race equity.
Writing about her peers on PCSAO’s Board of Trustees, President Stacy Cox said, “Even as we built support internally, board members also focused their energy outwards in 2023. They testified in favor of new state budget investments, engaged with the new Department of Children and Youth on critical workforce and placement challenges, and invited their senators and representatives to ride along with a caseworker. They do this all while managing one of the most complex systems for serving families and protecting children. Every day we are grateful for this association that brings us together to learn, advocate, and thrive.”
