please find several documents showing the results of the PCSAO HR/Safety
Committee’s work to establish baseline data for Ohio PCSAs Staff
Turnover rates. We appreciate the 71 PCSAs who completed the short
survey. The results are available in several forms:
You may view
the results from left to right for each county or statewide total at the
bottom. After County name, see the size of County, the total number of
staff who left in 2006 (including number of full and part-time staff who
left) and the number of Direct Service Casework Staff who left.
Next see the
total number of Authorized positions within the agency (including number
of full and part-time staff). Next see the total number of authorized
Direct Service Casework Staff.
Next see the
Overall turnover rate for all authorized staff (including the rate for
full land Part-time staff).
Finally see
the turnover rate for Direct Service Casework Staff.
At the
bottom under totals you will see that of the 3441.5 Direct Service
Casework Staff, 465 left during 2006 for a rate of 14%. The average
agency had 47 Direct Service Casework Staff who left at an Average rate
of 16%. The Median rate was 15%.
The goal of
the PCSAO HR/Safety Committee was to produce a short survey with a
minimum of questions. There were many additional questions we would like
to ask but feared the more questions the lower the return rate. 18
members of the HR/Safety Committee plus several members of the PCSAO
Board of Trustees did complete a more detailed survey that documented
multiple job classifications; departments; sex; level of education;
length of employment; reasons for leaving; and would you rehire. That
data is being evaluated and a detailed report with various trend data
will be published soon.
