Community Training Using "Leadership in Child Protection" |
A number child welfare agencies, within and outside of Ohio, have approached PCSAO to inquire as to how they might bring the knowledge and skills training presented in the publication, "Leadership in Child Protection" to their communities. Our ongoing advice has been to suggest that community foundations be approached to fund the training and perhaps even the strategic planning model set forth in the book.
When we followed up to see how these folks had done with their community foundations, most said that they had not had the time to write the grant and therefore had not been able to provide the training for their county or community. For this reason, we have developed a template for a grant proposal and the key budget elements that a county or community can down load and modify for submission to a local or community foundation.
We hope that the sample grant proposal is useful in your efforts to improve the safety of children in your county.
