CHILDREN'S TRUST FUND

This bill is in regards to the Children’s Trust Fund Law.                                               

The bill:

·          Requires the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) to contract with a nonprofit entity or Trust Fund Administrator.   The Trust Fund Administrator would assist ODJFS in administering certain aspects of the Children’s Trust Fund Law. 

·          Requires the Trust Fund Administrator to provide administrative support to the Children's Trust Fund Board for its meetings, to report to the Board on expenditures from the Children's Trust Fund, and to perform other specified functions. 

·          Requires the ODJFS to administer Children's Trust Fund moneys to local child abuse and child neglect prevention advisory boards. 

PCSAO’s Legislative Committee is reviewing and analyzing the bill during the summer recess and will monitor its impact on child welfare in Ohio.
